Day too, there'll be bluebirds over...

Spent day two at the white cliffs of Dover. Well we didn't actually make it to walking on the cliffs since we spent so much time at the amazing Dover castle.

There is a lighthouse from the Roman times on the grounds, dating back 2000 years!!!

The castle itself is from the 1200's and is still quite amazing.

The king was in residence as were a few of his guests, including a monk who told me I couldn't have the bed to sleep in as I was a vehicle of the devil, being a woman and all.
We also visited the secret wartime tunnels, built right into the cliffs. Then we went into the medieval tunnels, used during napoleons time.
It was a beautiful sunny day, no traffic jams this time and we headed home to s lovely dinner of gourmet burgers and tuna steaks. Yum.
Who know what tomorrow will bring??
